Review of Existing Trusts

Are your estate planning documents more than five years old? Have your beneficiaries or trustees changed? We review existing trusts to determine whether they are appropriate for your current circumstances.

Amendment of Existing Trusts

Your trust may need to be amended if –

  • You want to change beneficiaries or trustees.
  • You have moved since your trust was created and you are not sure whether it is properly funded.
  • Your children may have grown up and should be named as trustees.
  • Your estate size has changed.

If your spouse has passed away, your trust and other estate planning documents should be reviewed. Your spouse may have been appointed your agent under a power of attorney and you may now have to appoint new agents. You may also want to appoint additional trustees. We can evaluate your individual situation and determine if the type of trust you have established still makes sense for your family today. We can help you bring your trust up to date.
